I was asked to play ukelele for my 7-year-old niece Maya's class performance to this melody and I really enjoyed the challenge of learning a new string instrument. This recording is done in the style of the late Hawaiian musician Israel Kamakawiwo'ole more fondly known to his devotees as IZ (which are also my initials!) The steady strum of the ukelele stirs up an intensity that reminds me of weddings at their best. I try to ease that intensity with soft vocals. That's it!! You're done!!
