A friend of mine was close to the Berry family and encouraged me to do a fundraiser for them to help the children who survived the tragic car accident they were in. I decided the best thing I could do was to write a song. The hands up concept comes from the family's push to have people take photos with their hands shaped like hearts. Please consider donating and passing this song on to a friend. All the money, obviously, will go to the Berry Family. FMI: www.showyourhearts.org
lyrics
Moments pass in time
Your hand was clenched to mine
Another bird was flying
Another baby crying
Can you hear my voice
Can you hear my words
Can you feel what I feel
Can you tell me I’ll heal
Throw your hands up for love
Could this be our chance
For a second dance
Life is in the balance
Soon to reveal its talents
Dig a little deep
Shake off all that sleep
You are not alone now
We welcome you on home now
Throw your hands up for love
There are moments we all join together
With the promise that it will last forever
We can help create a new start
Just throw up your hands and show your heart
Throw your hands up for love
Show your heart and show your love
